battery goes dead
I just replaced a battery under warranty. The machine is only 4 months old. Polaris started using the new sealed (dry) batteries. The new batteries are 12 amp hours. Mine read 12.8 VDC but only 1.61 amp hours. Thus bad cells. My dealer said he has had a lot of problems with the new sealed batteries, he gave me a regular wet battery under warrenty.
What I did to determine it was a bad battery was: With the machine at idle check the DC volts (should be somewhere 13 - 15 VDC); turn the machine off disconnect one side of the battery put a current meter between the battery connection and the line (you should have no current draw with the machine off).
