do i need to buy grease from the dealer for my quads or can i use any grease (for steering and suspension)

I use a good grade synthetic. I prefer Amsoil or Mobil 1

 

I use marine grease it is susposed to be alittle more water resistant. Also i was wondering can you grease your quad too much i noticed in the service manual that it said only 1 pump for the rear drive shaft. Why is that? I grease the front struts after every mud ride can i hurt it by doing this?

You can overgrease them and blow out the seals. Once you start hearing or seeing the grease coming out, stop pumping

also good to grease after you ride (as opposed to before),,,,incase any h20 got in your bearings,,,,the fresh grease will help squeeze it out. especially if it will be sitting for a while
