DG Polaris, Yep remove the nut gain a few MPH. This will let the clutch shift all the way out. Don't think for a minute that I discovered this, I didn't. The guy from Dalton Inds. told me this. They do extensive testing on the kits and found this to be true. For an example to a serch on 600/700 sp. There was a guy stating that the motor was reving but would not go over 45-50. As it turns out the nut loosed up, thus limiting the shift-out.

Fish,
Thanks for clarifying that. That could have resulted in a few nasty responses for us.
BTW, I have had my nut of since Aug, when I installed the new Dalton clutch spring, and I have not seen any extra wear on the belt. I haven't been to kind on it at all this winter pulling 1500lbs trailers as well as WOT doughnuts on the ice. Seems like it has no effect but positive.
