i got this quad on a trade last spring and I had to change the high and reverse gear out off it last summer. I put it all back together and it was a real fine tune to get both high and reverse. I could get either or but when I got both one would jump out under load. Well after pissing with it all day today I figured I would rip out the gear box again and see if there was anything else that might be worn or broke. I am thinking maybe a worn fork or a bent fork. Anyone out there have any experience with this? The machine is a 94 300 4x4. Thanks Damian

First thing that comes to mind is the ball joints on the shift rod have too much slop - Second thing is the bellcrank (little arms on top of tranny that the shift rod attaches to) may be sloppy/partially stripped. Either one is going to "lengthen" the stroke required to move from one gear to the other.
