WILEY COYOTE is right... but there is no need to have cylinder and piston white hot... it could be many things... could be the spark plug being very very hot, plus pretty hot combustion chamber with a perfect mixture of air/gas and here it goes... i've seen cars doing the exacte same thing.

all the remote control cars equiped with combustion engine work that way... you heat the plug crank it and here it goes.

 

CORROSION & DUST!!!

The contacts INSIDE the switch need to be used once in a while! Not a bad idea to flip all switches 4-5 times before each ride.

My Warrior's kill switch did this once in a while, just flip the switch 4-5 times, then it works fine for quite a while.
