Default Hooking up a horn: Will it work?

Hi guy's i posted a couple 3-4 weeks ago on how to do the reverse overide with no parts. After performing the reverse overide both wires to the overide switch will be disconnected and open for horn use. Also doing the overide the way i posted lets the dash lights work properly. Here is the thread for the reverse override.

Actually those instructions were written for the Sportman and Xplorer but may work on others.

As I stated in the other thread those were not my instructions, but of all the override instructions i have come across the one by snowride works the best and yes it will work on a trailblazer.

i found this in an old topic:

"I would use the over-ride button on the ground side of the horn, Your best bet would be to run the positive side of the horn directly to your battery with an inline fuse attached, That way when you press the button the ground completes and horn beeps. "

That will work, wont it?

that will work but i would be very careful on how many amps the horn draw. it doesn't matter if you use the negative or positive side of the horn, a horn still draws a certain amount of amps and in time will short out the override switch. but it should work for a while.

yes the relay will fix that and it does n ot matter if you use the override switch to control power or ground to signal the relay.
