32:1 or 40:1 which to use on my scrammy 400
I have been using Bel-Ray H1r two stroke oil in my HPD RACE KIT 400 for a few years now and have been happy.I have been mixxing at 32;1 for ever.BUT, a few weeks ago I Went to The BEL-RAY factory here in N.J. And they told me that my quad with that oil would work alot better if I mixxed at 40:1 or 50:1.This my by A reason why my Scrammy always seems to rich(Smokes). They said the fuel would flow better if mixxed to 40:1 or 50:1.
I thought that maybe I would try 40:1 this weekend on the scrammy.I have always had Different Jetting On this Kit then Anyone else.HPD said to use a 175,well it was to rich in the summer and to lean in the winter and no one could tell why. I put a digatron on this quad and that made me get my jetting together. But imagine this,160main 38pilot jet in the winter and a 185main 35pilot in the summer.
Between winer and summer is every two or three sizes.
A whole lot of jet changes.(could be how i ride)
The digatron DON"T LIE it tells me the temps right on the money. It has saved me alot of money on top ends.
Now the question, is DO ANY OF YOU THINK IT WILL HELP TO HAVE A lesser MIXTURE!
Do you think it would help the flow of the gas enough that it would fix up the jetting.
The way bel=ray made it sound it seems that the thicker gas mixture would cause it to be a bit more fickle to jet.
They made me even believe that the outside temp had a big difference on oil.
All I can tell you is that. HAVE NOT HAD ANY TOP END BURN UPS oN THIS RACE KIT USING H1R

bel-ray is junk amsoil series 2000 is a lot better and less$$$ i saw all the tests and amsoil is a lot better longer life it is a lot cleaner belray was the worst out of the 5 syn oils they had and it ran a lot hotter than amsoil, heat is the worst thing for a 2 stroke as they heat up they loose power, amsoil was they best one they tested
