The SP500 is a Submarine
#1
There is a river that I cross on my SP500 and I usually go to the other side and keep on riding the trail. But some times I like riding up the river, it is only about a foot or two deep, but somtimes deeper. But it is never so deep you cant cross it with ease. SO anyway I am riding with my dad and we decide so mess around in the river and get a little wet. So I go upstream and I stop because I can not see the bottom anymore, and my dad tells me to go ahead. But I did not continue, so my dad puts his Sp500 in Low and 4wd, and pinns the throttle and goes and burries the 4wheeler. this is a rushing river to let you know. And the only thing above water was the "Pod" or top headlight, and the belt did not slip at ALL! This shows that Polaris has really refined the belt system.... (by the way I have the new belt system the one with the automotive fan and new belt cover. So I follow my dad through the hole and all that is above water is my Pod too...
So tomorrow I will go back to this Hole and take a picture and post it on my yahoo site for you guys to see what a Polaris can go through
Thanks for listening guys!

Nice try Clindst but I ain't buying it!
If the headlight pod is the only thing above water, on a Sportsman that is not snorkelled, then the following items are under water and sucking water in:
1. the belt and clutch housing air intake
2. the air breather intake
This means 2 things. The belt is extremely wet to say the least, and the engine is sucking water in via the carb.
The unsnorkelled Sportsman is not coming out of the river under its own power.
Post those pictures and prove me wrong.
