Default 1999 Trailblazer 250 HELP!!!!!!!



hows it going

My friend has a 99 trilblazer.. he brought it to me to fix. i dont have much experiance with quads, but i am good with dirtbikes.. he says his quad is reving up real high and not shifting out of 1st.. he called the dealer and the service rep told him his clutch needs to be cleaned. anyone in here herd of this happening because of a dirty clutch, if so... what cleaner should I use on it.. if anyone has any idea what might also be wrong please lt me kow.. thanks,,

Default 1999 Trailblazer 250 HELP!!!!!!!

well................just take off the clutch cover and clean it out and the over reving is prob b/c of a worn belt just get one and see how it goes

Shift out of 1st? That is all there is! xxxshiftxxx these tranny's are the same as in any Polaris or Arctic Cat snowmobile. More than likely, it IS just dirty. Take off the belt then just blow the thing out with compressed air, rotate, blow, rotate blow. Sometimes, the secondary can get stuck. You can check by twisting it while pulling on the outer sheeve.
