yea i am going to go to my dealer, and get a new belt, if the bike is 6 yrs old, and the belt is origional, could this revving, and not going anyware be the belt slipping? it sure feels like it to me, that exhaust was a 2 sec fix, with a pair of channel locks, banging it back into place. i can get a video to let you all here the sound that it makes, when you accelorate. also being it is a 1998, should the top end be rebuilt soon?, i know with the trx250r's and dirtbikes, or any 2 stroke should be rebuilt ever season, or 2? correct me if i am wrong.
i have never ridden this bike before, and this "slippage" to me is not normal. my suzuki, and honda. both engage, and dont rev way up.
sorry for so many questions, but i just want to get this thing all squared away, so i can make sure it is good to ride.

hey guys here a update, it does need a topend now, it wont even start, when you pull start it feels like it has little to no compression. and the starting motor doesnt work, the solonoid just clicks.
i am going to get a wiseco piston kit. and get the cyclinder bored the next size to .020 over.
