Anyone replace their steering bushing?

Went to replace the one on the Boss, and it is riveted in place. Just curious, did you bolt the new one, or did you re-rivet it. It's a pretty heavy duty rivet. Just worried about the clearance if I use bolts. Could only be a problem if I want to turn right. Of course if I can only turn left, it becomes a NASCAR limited edition.

I looked at the picture of the HPD. It looks like they have countersunk the bolts. I may just modify the stock piece to accept the same kind of bolt. If anyone else out there is going to change theirs, just get the HPD part. It's about 10 bucks more, but after all I am going to have to do now, it's worth it.

I replaced mine with the HPD part. It uses counter sunk allen head bolts with locknuts. You have to drill and/or grind the rivits off and drill out the mounting hole to accept the new bolts

I used a hammer and chisel to remove to rivets on mine. Then I used a Dremel tool to open the holes up. I replaced mine with the HPD piece from RCR. Its a nice part and really tightened the steering up.
