700 EFI RPM Limiter during Break in period
#11
well i took the epi clutch kit out and but the polaris green spring in the primary and a black/red spring in the secondary and S58 weights. What a difference, i can do wheelies in high gear with my knee on the seat. WOW!!! The quad woke up with that change and for a price of $100 canadian. If you have clutch issues i would suggest doing this you will not be disappointed. Any questions E-Mail me at scottfunk10@hotmail.com. Happy quadding i know i am.

I spoke to Rick ritter today and i am trying the Dalton IND ,Plain with white stripe, and ripping out EPI KIT. HE also said if it were a 700 he would do some other things so i think your back on the right track.I am only running the 600 with the mods.So i will see where i go from here.

A little off topic but need to dig my little buddy.... can't wait to go out this weekend so you can put that Volkswagon Buick to the test. I want to see a helmet and grips sticking out of the first mudhole. lol It will be a good time. I'll probably put on a few more miles on than you this weekend. I tend to do that as I run circles around the boat anchors. Take care Bud...talk to you later.

My buddy with the Camo KVF enjoys ribbing me as much as he can because he has nothing better to do, did i mention he has a Polaris for a sled with a little track. I know it is off subject but this would be the first time i rib him back. The only reason that he got the Camo 700 KVF was he needed to Camoflauge it because it is that but ugly, goes to show that you can't polish a turd, my saying buy the way haha!. Ya his quad is extremely fast but his ego usually gets him into trouble. I hope we go on a 100 km ride so his back will give out, do to that very forgiving suspension set up. See you at the hospital buddy. Or at the bottom of the mud hole. His quad reminds me of a dodge javelin, somewhat fast for the day but dont let your buddies see you driving it. Next is the Artic Cat and the Dodge pick-up, hey buddie. I apologize to all the people that read this useless message it was ment for the ron jeremy of alberta. Happy quading.

Funky700,
What pipe do have, and how is the clutch set up working, does the power commander do anything for the bike. I have been considering getting the power commander, already have the pure polaris pipe and K&N filter, not exactly happy with the stock clutching either. So might try your set up. Did you lose any top speed?

Hey there Tom,
The pipe that i am using is the MBRP which is pretty hard to get ahold of, the guys at cycle works west in edmonton lined me up with it. Cost was quite scary, but definitely not disapointed with the sound or performance. Talk to Brad at cycle works south side he will get you flanged up. The Power Commander woke up the quad a little but it was really hard to tell because i put the commander and pipe on at the same time, it was a proven combination that the map was available from commander. I think it willget alot better when there are some ignition maps that commander are suppose to make available this later summer, so the rumor. Other than that the clutching combination was told to me by the guys at cycle works west by Edmonton. It works way better than the stupid EPI clutch kit. If you do the commander and pipe combination you might have to change your weights. I have the S58's but the boys said that the quad is going to make more power than there demo did so i might have to go with 20-60's which will be able soon because they are the weights that are used in the new 800. You should have been at Baptiste Lake yesterday, was insane, very impressed how that quad ripped, was also very impressed with my buddies 700 KVF, Does that thing rock. I hope i was able to help. If you are in edmonton i am only about 10 minites away so if you want to see or here it e-mail me at scottfunk10@hotmail.com
Take care,
Scott.
