I guess if you really wanted to save the weight it would be worth removing. But I agree. Thats a lot of work to get at it.

I had thought about doing the same thing until I lightened my flywheel. That mod made a world of difference in the responce by a ton!!! The front comes up with no effort at all now. Maybe I will loose the 4x4 someday, but I like climbing those hills and getting through the knarly stuff more for now...

Lighting the fly wheel will be the next mod. I never use the 4x4.....but when I do it's nice to have. But everyone who i ride with only has two wheel and they don't have alot of problems. I'm sure I will miss it at times.
