I was riding and the belt broke and got binded up The bike come to a complete stop I got it home changed the belt and then had no reverse.Would go forward in high and low,But know is stuck in Low any Help would be great But I think the tranny is junked any one kow how much to rebuild or where to get used one

Check to make sure that the linkage between the shifter and the tranny is not bent and that the splines on the linkage are not stripped. I've rebuilt the trannies and they are pretty simple. The hardest part is removing all the stuff to pull the gearbox out. good luck.

 

Disconnect the tranny linkage and attempt to operate it manually. If you still dont have a reverse, pull the gearbox... They are simple in design..
If its internal, you have either jambed a slide gear or possibly bent a shift fork. While youve got it apart, I'd go ahead and replace the drive chain.. Its cheap insurance.
