Default Mystery Clutch Spring?

My '02 400 Sportsman has an EBS clutch that was added later. The secondary spring is White with a thin Red Stripe. I want to get the next stronger spring, but my Polaris dealer can't find this spring in any of his charts. I've searched the web for hours, and can't find this spring anywhere.

When you email Polaris, they just thank you for writing and tell you to go see the dealer. Can anyone tell me what the specs are on this spring, and what the next stronger one is?

Thanks!

Default Mystery Clutch Spring?

Well, doing a 5 second google search popped up.....

http://www.atvnation.com/techtips/pr...0-700_115.html

http://www.hiperf.com/acatalog/Onlin...rings_132.html

Both of those pages show a red/white spring. they show a 100/210 and 100/220 respectively.

Hope it helps.

GST97 those are primary spring on those pages. He needs the secondary specs.

Techguy, did you have the EBS installed? If so contact who installed it for the manufacturer name and try to contact them for the specs.

The Red/White spring probably wouldn't be the same as White/Red would be. Polaris lists the main spring color first, and the stripe color second.

The EBS clutch was ordered and installed by my local Polaris dealer, but he doesn't have anything on the White/Red spring in his book. And he doesn't have a chart that shows what secondary springs are available for the 400 EBS clutch.

Thanks for the replies. I emailed Polaris and they just said to go see your dealer. EAB, you got me to thinking though. Maybe a phone call to the engineering department at Polaris headquarters would work better. Thanks!
