i have my friends trail boss 325 2x4. i dont know what year it is but i think it is in the late 90's. well my question is the top speed cant be more then 45. i have a 97 exporer 300 4x4 and that went 53mph and i cant see why his doesnt go faster its hard keeping up with our 400ex and my brothers friends 400ex. the trial boss must go faster. anything helps.

 

your 300 was probably a 2 stroke, the trail boss is a bit slugish.

 

I was getting up to 47 before I put the RCR kit in (GPS checked). Haven't checked it afterwards. It's not really a top speed quad, but it has a good low end. I had to go to the 12 tooth sprocket to keep from digging holes when I hit the gas. If you ride on wooded trails, top speed shouldn't be an issue. You want to lose the 400EX, go through some mud.
