Default New belt ware questions.

I just installed a new belt on my 97 400L Sport. I scuffed the clutch disks, and lightly skuffed the sides of the belt. I took it out for a ride with the clutch cover off and came back to check out the belt. I noticed little fibers on the sides of the belt sticking out a little. I was wondering if this was normal for a brand new belt.

Thanks
Ryan

Good. I was really looking to hear that. Tomorrow I will check the defection, and put on the clutch cover.

BTW When installing the secondary clutch. Where their 2 washers behind the unit.(Not inside) Behind it with a spacer? On the outside where the bolt goes through. I have a fitted washer for the big hole in the clutch, and a small lock washer. I am 95% sure both the washers were on the back side to space out the clutch. ANy ideas?
