500 scrammy lookin' for more bottom end
#21
I recently got the cluch springs to give my scrambler more bottom.I installed the primary,it was a snap. When trying to remove the drive clutch I could not pull it off.I read in the manual that you need a clutch puller.Any sugestions where to get a puller or another way to pull the clutch off. Also is it ok to install primary spring without secondary spring. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can change the primary spring seperately from the secondary. How old is you scrambler? The only reason you would need a puller is if the splines are rusted to the shaft, which would take awhile for that to happen. BTW, I am assuming that you are refering to the driven (secondary) clutch?. Put the machine in gear and give it a few good tugs. It should just pop right off. If you absolutely cant get it off and need a puller, you can get them from HPD for the best price.

Hey Scrambler - I got my springs yesterday.... the primary's went in easily. But, I couldn't remove the clutch. Do I need a clutch remover or is there a trick to it?
