Lowering the pred, by means of cutting the subframe.....??...
Hey guys, I was over one predatorowners.com, and I read a post about lowering your quad. The topic went on to discuss lowering the quad by means of cutting an inch(3/4" to 1") out of the subframe, I suppose on the rearend. It said that this isn't hard to do, and works real well. It said that this takes care of the curved seat problem too. I was considering this, once I read it. Anyone tried this yet? What do you guys think about it? Go and read the topic if you want to, its under the suspension topics, on the first page. Kinda interesting. Lower is generally better, especially for cornering. Lets here your info. Thanks.

I read that topic as well Brad. I've been wanting to do it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I will say(like I did in the other post) that I think 3/4" - 1" is WAY to much to be removing. At most I would only remove maybe 1/2" from the lower subframe rails. Remember that the subframe is like a triangle, and that when you shorten only one leg it drastically changes the angle of the other 2 legs. A small change will make a BIG difference in the angle of the frame. I'm gonna get around to trying it, but it probably won't be until this winter.
