Are you Fat?
Muddy, Your BS has reached a new low point. Why do you constantly take a special effort to bash Polaris? I have owned three 2 stroke Polaris ATV's and 5 or 6 of there 2 stroke snowmobiles and never had, or knew anyone who had a related piston problem. Your credibility is so low with this forum I wont even read your messages anymore. You are so negative it has become personal. I no longer wish to view what you post.

BRYCE,
I agree that pistons dont blow holes in them for no reasons and that a lean mixture can cause this type of issue, however, when I first had this problem with about 1500 miles on my stock piston,I pretty much KNEW where the problem was right from the beginning. It has been a LONG know fact that Polaris 400cc 2-stroke pistons are weak, and usually dont make it too much past 2000 miles before skirt trouble or piston trouble occur, and I stick by this known fact. There have been those riders of the 2 stroke 400cc engine that change over to a Wisco piston as soon as the engine gets 1000 miles on their stock engine.
Its NO differant than the older V-6 ODD FIRING General Motors engine that they stuck in some of their vehicles in the 1980s.EVERYONE knew that the timing chain/gears was good for about 50k miles and than they had to be replaced. If someone installed an aftermarket chain/gears,they could than get 150k out of it.The problem was JUNK directly from the factory.Polaris 2 stroke are also in the same catagorie and those that been around their 400cc 2-stroke engines for awhile, know this to be a fact.
SNOWBLOWER,
Now isnt it just like a brand lover like you to write up a post like that.Alls I did was respond about the stock Polaris 400cc 2-stroke piston and now you have to refer to that post as a ''bash''?
Credability?Huh,just because someone posts something that YOU dont like about a brand of ATV that they have actually OWNED and you dont like it,now you discredit them![POOR BABY]
Keep it up and Michael Jackson wont let you visit with him anymore when the Boy Scouts come over.
