Just wondering, those of you who purchased a 335 sportsman, are you satisfied with you purchase or do you wish you'd spent the extra grand and got the 500. I rode a 335 and it seemed like it had plenty of power and I didn't feel any extra vibrations.
Also, have any of you upgraded the tires on the 335 to the same size as the 500 has?
What kind of snow plows are you all using?

I had a 335 for about a year or so it was fine until I rode a 500.Went and bought a Magnum 500 and been very satisfied with my decision.The 335 was very underpowered. The new 400 should be much better.

I bought mine in Feb.99. About it being under powered is true, but for most trail riding and plowing it does just fine. It's not a quad that you ride double with or climb long steep inclines that require alot of momentum to make. It plows great with my 48" Polaris plow.
It gets regular maitainence. With 1300+ miles on it, I've replaced the rear brake pads once and updated to the newer tie rod ends. It is a very dependable quad. Not a bad quad for $5000. The best deal on a 500 I could get was $6300. With the extra $1378 dollars($1300+tax), I got a Plow,Winch,Front Bumper,Fin Grips,Fender Bags,tow straps,ETC.with money left over.
I am still running the stock 23" fronts and 24" rear tires. The 2000 models has 24" tires all the way around.

I have ridden with a couple of 335's and they went fine, the owners really enjoyed them. They were not big into mudding and all that so brute power was not there biggest concern. They like the ride of it.

I like mine just fine. I didn't want a quad that was water cooled,(long story)so I got the 335 instead. I did want the plush Sportman ride, it just doesn't go as fast as the 500. For what I do with it, it works great. I bought it to be a dead deer ferry and it does this quite well.

I love my 335. I really want the new Sportsman 700 if it comes out though.I have used my 335 to drag trees, cars, trucks, buildings, etc. It does pretty good on hills and stuff. I just put it in LOW and torque my way to the top. It doesn't win many drag races or races period, but it is fun and very efficient. I plan on getting 25" Bi-Claws or 26" Mud Bugs. I just can't decide.I have added a few things which can be read below.

My 2000 SP335 has handled every type of terrain that I have encountered, including deep mud, rocky slopes, steep hillsides, etc. It handles beautifully, and the engine has never skipped a beat. Overall, I am very satisfied.

I have a 99 335 sportsman with 500 miles on it and I am very satisfied with it.I installed a K&N air filter and a split fire plug and the bike had little improvement,but,I took out the spark arrestor bolt from the muffler and left it out because the power I gained was impressive! My brother has a 2000 500 Quadmaster by suzuki and in a drag race of 500 feet we are almost even.We went riding last week-end and the line up was as follws-2000 quadmaster-99 500 artic cat {shift}-95 400 yamaha Kodiac with 26 inch tires,300 Bayou 4x4. We doubled with our wives and swapped bikes and everyone was impressed with the 335.In a drag race with the 400 Kodiac the 335 won.In two seperate mud holes all bikes got stuck exept the 335.The independent suspention and the ground clearance(no hog head at the rear end on the 335}and true 4-wheel drive pulled the bike through the mud holes.Now dont get me wrong my bike also got stuck and had to be towed.But on this ride we discovered that if the 335 Sportsman didnt make it through the mud-then none of the other atv's could either.{Luke at pinacle creek W.Va.}
