Default Moving closer to the Hatfield/McCoy Trails! :D

My wife got a new job at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV (moving from the eastern panhandle of WV). And I believe that's only about 30 minutes to the newest H/M trail, Pinnacle Creek / wagon wheel?. I told her that I'll have to riding a little more often now that those awesome trails will be so close. Now who on here is from Beckley or that area? For those who are from Beckley, we are moving into a house in Woodcrest at the end of January, 2005.

Alright, start introducing. I need some new riding buddies. I'm Wayne, and 30 yrs old with a Sportsman 600 who likes to go mudding and fast trail riding.

Good luck with your move...I would not have a wife long if we would move there. So I will just go to H&M a couple times a year...and keep the wife. lol

Congratulations Wayne! The Pinnacle Creek trails are nice and we’ve been making that our 1st stop on all of our H/M trips ever since it (the Castle Rock trailhead) opened up. We also found that we like the drive better by heading towards Pineville (via 79, 19, 64 to Beckley) and then to the Man or Gilbert area from there (after a day and a half of riding the Pinnacle Creek trails!). We’ll have to all get together again for an H/M ride sometime...

Thanks guys.

Thanks Dan. We'll definately have to get together on your next trip down. My wife and I have been going 81 and 64 everytime we've needed to make a trip, and that way only takes us about 3 hours and 45 minutes from our driveway here to the hospital in Beckley (exit 44 of 77/64 in Beckley). That way is a nice and easy drive, very pretty too. But we are only 25 minutes away from 81 at Stephens City below Winchester.

I'll get in touch with you after the move and give you our new email and all that info.

I wanted to take my Sportsman down when she had her interview, but I needed to look for houses and such, and I'm sure I would have been late picking her up. Oh well, I'll get to go soon enough. Thanks again everyone for the "congrats."

Hey Wayne! I'm just up the road from you, just past Ragland Road.....

A site with a bunch of area riders is www.atvwv.com .....they are mostly from the southern part of the state and ride all over the place including the H/M trails.

It's about an hour down to the Rockhouse trailhead from Beckley and about 30-45minutes to the Castle Rock trailhead.

I don't get to ride as much as I'd like to but we should try hooking up and doing some riding.

Sounds good Rook, I'll let you know once we're all settled in. You're right. You are right up the road. Cool.
