Default HELP, 2000 Xplorer pipe????

Well I have already called Rick @RCR & they do not make one for 98 up Xplorer's. He suggested asking here if anybody had successfully modified another year or model to fit????? The problem is the 3" sideways movement Polaris came up with & making current pipes TOO close to the plastic/leg!!! He is to far from me to ship the bike to him for a custom one! Any & all thoughts would be appreciated. Dooommed to a stock ride! Augh!

aaen makes a topend pipe for 99 and up 400 xplorer's ,I put one on mine and it gives you a very noticeable gain in power ,you have to buy the clutch kit and slilencer to go with it ,it fits pretty good but I had to make a heat shield for it so it wouldn't burn the plastic ,Imade it out of sheet metal and drilled holes in it and spot welded it to the pipe ,it makes the plastic buldge out at the side a bit but does keep it from burning.,you can expect 5 mph on top and a whole bunch more midrange ,it is quite loud and does engage at a significantly higher RPM.

Give dynoport a call.Ive got one on my 99 xplorer and love the torque this thing has.As far as the side panels go,I just went to the hardware store and got some reflective bubble wrap type stuff.I believe its made to keep heat in your furnace pipes at the house.
