Polaris struts

the actual ETC in inside the thumb throttle assembly, it kills the machine if the throttle gets stuck in the carb or the cabling. Adjustment on all the ones I've messed with is right in the cable portion that is up on the handlebars.

jimmypsp700 and Wolverine350R, Thank you for explaining what the ETC is. I thought that's what it is. I haven't had a problem with mine. I have adjusted some cable stretch out of the throttle at the adjustment under the rubber boot in the cable by the throttle - but left just a little slack. I would hate for a branch to pull my cable out as when I pull it out the throttle increases pretty high.
Pull up on your cable and you might see what I mean.

hey KTK, I looked on www.polarisoemparts.com and they have the factory replacements part number 7041451 which are $99.99 at the dealer for $83.32 each. you can find the part you need on the diagram then punch it in and it gives you your cost on it since they discount the parts on this website.

The Kimpex Pro Gold struts go for around $125, and they do give a better ride than the stock ones - IF you get "good" ones. I put a set on my GF's TB and they've been fine, but I've seen them start to leak out of the box, too. If you buy the Kimpex, get them from a dealer that will honor the warranty, so IF you get a bad one, it's taken care of.
The Fox's are about $240 a set and are rebuildable/revalvable. So are the Works, but they are around $440 a set.
