Default Buying a 500 HO & Need Help With Tires

Bogger, check out my gallery by clicking on the camera. I installed the 27-9-12 Mudlites on the front and the 27-12-12 Mudlites on the rear. they are mounted on the type 6 ITP polished wheels and do not rub on the tierod. I cleared the fender flares by fabricating/installing a 2" aluminum lift to go under the strut spring.

If you go with a berts lift is it gonna be front and rear or just front?

tyler711-I see in your "still stuck" picture you have chains on the rear. Where did you get them and how do they perform? Can you move along pretty well or are they loose at all?

I got them from my dealer, but they are not polaris brand. I will check the brand next time I get the chance. They have nice sharp teeth that definetly grab when plowing the lake (without them plowing is mostly a futile event). I strap them on really tight, and I must say that I've not yet been worried about them when riding at higher speeds (I know you arent supposed to, though.)

On the driveway, they help noticably. Adding some extra weight to the back rack definetly helps. I had a sand bag on there, but it recently exploded when doing AWD donuts on the ice (with the chains off of course).

With the plow off, I can ride up and down the driveway and the camp road without really worrying about them, maybe 15-20mph? They are easy to install though, so I usually only put them for heavy snowfall/plowing the ice.

They don't make as much of a difference in the really deep snow; once the tires lose contact with the frozen ground, the sharp teeth do little (as indicated in that picture).

They were $69 at the dealer, I think. I am sure they can be found cheaper somewhere, but I was having the plow put on and told them just to add a set to the bill.
