Default Ia an Xpress too gutless for smaller rear sprocket??

I need to change the rear sprocket on a 98 Polaris Xpress 300, and was considering going from a 38 to a 36 tooth. I would like the increased speed but am I going to lose too much on the bottom?

I'm a real newbie at this so any advice would be appreciated

with only a 2 tooth difference you probably wont loose all that much. and you only gaining a slight amount on top end speed. you may notice some on longer steep hills, but would doubt it.
