Does anyone know why there are 2 metal strips across the front of the new sportsman . Im thinking they will make a box or something that slides into from the side and locks on?? The strips im talking about go from side to side on top of the front storage space.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

They are used as an anchor point for bungee cords or small straps.

Or, you can use them to anchor down a non-polaris aftermarket cargo box by sliding some U-bolts thru the holes and then drilling into the cargo box for a permanent mount.

 

Yea that makes sense , it just looks like a front box could slide across there . I called to see if they were making a box for the front . Of course they wont tell me nothing . Im getting my 800 this week and was thinking of taking my polaris box off my 2002 700 and trying it on my 800efi

 

There are some accessories that will lock into them coming out. Storage box's and such stuff.

 

Thats what im looking for the storage box. Even though theres storage under i need all the storage i can get. Think ill wait and see before i ruin the old polaris front storage box i got off my 2002 700 Thanks
