Default trailboss 330 vs. trailblazer 250

Ok here is My 2 cents from someone that has had both. The 250 and 330 have the same frame, suspension, tranny. They both handle about the same except the 330 has a softer ride. The 250 is quicker and you can add lots of mods. The 330 has more torque and has a few mods. The 4 stroke 330 is going to be way more reliable then the 2 stroke 250. The 330 has a fan assist oil cooler while the 250 is just plain old ir cooled. The 250 can have problems with jetting in certain areas and will need a rebuild every few years like most all 2 strokes do. Maintenance is cheaper on the 330 because when you change the oil it only takes a $2.00 qt of oil while a gallon of injector oil for the 250 is around $30. The 330 is quieter. You can look at the pics of my 330. I have alot of things done to it. I think my 330 is alot more fun on the trails and longer rides then my 250 was. It all depends on what your riding style is like and if you want a 2 strike or 4 stroke. Dont get me wrong the 250 is a great quad, very reliable, and will fit the sport rider better then the 330.

LOL, its probably personal choice. I think 2manytoys has detailed most of the differences, I will only add a few. The Trailblazer has 1.5 inch more suspension travel both front and rear. It has a tighter turning radius by 12 inches. The trailblazer engine is supplementary air cooled by a duct from the driven clutch. The Trailblazer is lighter by 44 pounds. The new Trailblazer is cheaper by $300. I think in stock form the two stroke is good for considerably more than a few years between rebuilds. And in stock form, it isn't too much noisier than the 330. The towing capacity of each quad is the same at 850 pounds. I would say ride them both. You probably won't be disappointed with either one. My wife is thrilled with her Trailblazer and wouldn't trade if for anything; LOL, reguardless of cost.
I hope this helps you jayri

Thanks for the replies guys. Mylhouse, no there was nothing wrong with the explorer, I just wanted to upgrade to something newer and something lighter.

I just sold a 2004 Trailblazer that was truely in mint condition for $2350. You could do better than $2500. I'm in west-central IL, that could effect price I guess.
It was a fun bike, not as fun as my 400 Scrammy
