Yeah I'm having the head ported(wild porting by Doug)........and I have installed a 12.5:1 Wiseco. I was wondering about fuel, although I'll be running 110 octane, I'll probably have to stop. Oh well.......

Hope to see ya there sometime, I imagine you will be in the A class huh........

Hey Pudljumper what kind of problems did you have with your YFZ. I'm looking to get one.

I may have just had a lemon. My YFZ kept snapping valves and everytime I did that I had to put a new head on it...getting way to expensive. I think it was due to not enough oil getting to the top end on my 04. But I think Sparks did some mods cause that may have been an issue. Also, the one time my rod snapped on me...on stock engine!!! Ruined everything...fortunately that one was under warranty. It had just gotten to the point that I wanted to be rid of it before it ate my wallet!! From what I've seen of 05's, they aren't having those problems. But again, directly in the YFZ manual, it recommends a new piston every 40 hours...take that into consideration for reliability!! If it weren't for the kick start I had thought 450R, but I'm gonna go back to a pred...that thing is super reliable!! Maybe just hold onto your 400ex for now and see what kawi/suki does with their new 450...hopefully it will be out soon!
