Default scrambler wont start

I bought a 99 scrambler 500 tuesday. It started fine both times I went to look at it, when I unloaded it and even wednesday. Yesterday it wouldnt start. It turns over fine and will catch for about a second and then dies. This is my first atv so I hope I am just overlooking something simple.

I know this may be a stupid question but did you turn the gas on, is there gas in it, and did you use the choke? Also check the plug and or put in a new plug. It may even be flooded from transporting it.

You have a bad ignition switch. It is quite common on 99-02 scrambler. Water gets in the back. You can verify this buy removing the switch and taking it apart and cleaning the contacts.

Thanks guys, It was just flooded. Dried it out and it started fine. The ignition switch was having a contact issue as well, the back of the switch wasnt clipped in well so I fixed that too while I was in there. Took it to the woods today for the first ride and I am definately hooked.
