800 clutch on a 700
#4
Not sure ....
But I put a new stock Belt on my 600 after about 300 miles of Hard Riding....I guess it was slipping cause I can tell a difference..
I Can only imagine what a new clutch system would do to my performance .....Hellclicker etc....
Next I'm going to try out a Dayco Belt ....

has someone checked to see if the secondary clutch is the same on the 2 machines??? If so, than I say go for it, you will just need a new sp8oo belt to go with it. Also may need to change springs do to differences in torque of engines... I would do it, but for the money the 800 primary clutch costs, I'll spend it on a power commander, exhaust and intake mods first.

Does anyone know if the output shaft on the motor of the 800 is the same diameter as the 700? That would be the first thing to know.
