two questions for the Sportsman owners!!!
1) What kind of soft storage bag are you using on the rear of your sportsman atv and how satisfied are you with it. I am looking at getting the atv logic brand deluxe atv pack rear soft storage unit. (ATVDB-B) in black. I can get the regular atv pack for $37.99 or the Deluxe atv pack for $64.99, I am leaning towards the deluxe because it's front two storage compartments double as insulated coolers and can hold up to 24 12oz. cans. should I get the regular atv pack or the deluxe. you can see them both at www.atvlogic.com
2) I am looking into getting a front brushguard for my 2004 700EFI and am curious to see if anyone knows if it will work with the Glacier Plow. I don't want to spend the money on the brushguard if it's not going to work in conjuction with my Glacier Plow. any help would be very much appreciated.

Hey silver I used a soft pack on mine for a while not for sure what brand it was but I got it a Wal-mart. I do alot of rock crawling and with everthing in the soft bag moving around it would rub against the rack extenders causing holes in it. The wife got tired of sewing up the holes so I bought a Polaris hard storage box and everything is great know.

I would rather have a hard storage box for the rear rack but I can't budge off that much cash right now. I am only gonna use the storage bag when going on trips/longer rides and think the soft bag will work out ok for me for as often as I plan to use it. I am interested in the atv logic deluxe bag because it has the dual insulated cooler compartments and would be great to keep your lunch in during a long ride or just to keep some waters or snacks in.
thanks for any info.

What if you put down a piece of that rubbery stuff people use as shelf paper on your rack first and then the soft pack. It would shift at all and would give a layer of protection from rubbing holes in the bag. They sell that stuff at wal-mart and it comes in every color. I got my hard pack from cabelas and my front soft pack from Gander Mt. Good Luck with yours.

I checked www.polarisoemparts.com and typed in the polaris part number for the brushguard and found that it came up but did not list a price. I called ashville motorsports and asked them directly. they said the polaris brushguard lists for $169.99 and the discounted price is $152.99 but is that still too much to pay? I was kinda hoping to find one on ebay or something. I would like to spend about $100 or less. I am on a tight budget lately.

Primus,
Where do you get the bar protector for the front brush guard? I look on the pure Polaris site and found nothing. Can you give me a link? Right now I have some teflon I got from work straped on but it's starting to ware out. I have a SP800 with a Cycle Country plow, I used the old mounting plate from my 03-330 Magnum to mount it to the 800, I was told from Cycle Country and my dealer that it wouldn't fit.........It fits better on the 800 than the 330!! I set both of them straight.
Thanks!

two questions for the Sportsman owners!!!
1) when i had a '04 700EFI i bought the Polaris soft, formed bag for the rear. it was a little over $100. for the most part i liked it. of course it wasn't waterproof and it was difficult to clean the mud off it. the construction was top-notch and it had many little zippered compartments plus a secret on in the bottom of the bag. it held everything i wanted to stuff in it to! i sold it with the ATV because i knew i wanted an '05 with the standard front storage.

Hey, if you look in my pictures, you can see that I got a weird brushguard form my dealer. Mine has a fairlead mount on the actual tube of the brushguard, rather than on the winch. This does two things: 1) it protects the winch if you hit something (isn't that what a brushguard is supposed to do?) rather than letting the winch and fairlead hit and 2) it works with the plows because the fairlead is further forward than the brushguard.
I am not sure where this brushguard came from, I just told the dealer to put a yellow one on. There are ones like this on eBay, though.
You can see it in my second to last picture.
here is the kind I have on eBay. It also has two thin bars across each light instead of one, like the Polaris one has.
