Bosty,
Hell yes the spring will help you, regardless if you are an avid mudder or not.The change is very noticable. The tires really hook-up and go.Very little lag time on the belt compared to stock.I've not had mine past 30mph yet,so I cant honestly comment on top end, however,Rick did;nt seem to be to concerned about any top end lose when him and I talked.

Bill, I noticed this improvement was on a 400, I have a 2000 SP500, what kind of improvement would this do for me? I can now do seated wheelies with stocks but I run Outlaws for the mud.
I posted something today on the same lines. My bike was running great then it wasn't. I checked everything but the exhaust pipe. I even removed the exhaust. I'm going out now to check for mud in the pipe itself.
thanks Rick
Just checked, nothing there that I can see or feel.

Screamin4wheeler,
Im not certain what the newer spring would do for your Sportsman, but for 29 dollars, what have you to loose?
The EPI clutch kit did very little except to raise the engagement speed a little on my 99 Sportsman.I'd recommend you spend 29 dollars on the new primary spring and give us guys the results.
Poor performance?
If your exaust is clear and the engine is running good, you might check your belt for wear.===Bill

Bill,
The belt is brand new, only about 15 minutes on it. My other belt started falling apart. The motor sounds fine, it's just that it suddenly went bad. I'm sure it's something to do with the carb. Read my post BOGGIN DOWN. If you have any ideas please let me know. If I do get a new spring I will post the results. Thanks
