Default Battery Relocation?????

Im wanting to move my battery to under the front hood where the oil tank used to be. Id like to also downsize te battery as all it does is start the motor and run the tail light. Im also gonna cut the rear box off the frame for simplicity ans smoothness. What mounting ideas do you guys have and has any one else done this before?

Thanx Adam

I used an Ultra light battery from HPD and have had good results with it so far.
You can look at my pictures in the members gallery. I think that there is someone
else that makes a battery eliminator that has a small capacitor that replaces the
battery and a lot cheaper than the Ultra light.

Did you have to buy longer cables to move it to the front and did you also us any shock absorbant foam or insilation to protect from bumps and tumbles? Im gonna stop at a local Interstate battery dealer and see of I can find a small enough battery that puts out enough power.(pain in the *** to buy stuff from the states - shipping and tax)

I cant believe that your the only one that has ever done this?

If I remember right I just had to buy the positive wire. The negitive wire was just
long enough to reach. I just secured mine to a bracket that I made with 2 sets
of bungi straps. It has never moved or anything even after landing jumps.

Scrammy400, you might PM dailyrider also, he has a small battery mounted under the hood of the green TB on his page. He could probably give you the brand name also so you could find it up there in the great white north
