HSP Speed Kit on a Trailblazer 250

Hi everyone, I just joined the forum, looks great so far. I bought a HotSeat performance speed kit on ebay at a great price vs. new. I'll be putting this on my '00 Trailbalzer 250 in the next couple of weeks. After reading some of the past posts, I'm concerned about how loud everyone says this pipe is. Can anyone put this in perspective for me? I'm not opposed to a louder pipe vs. stock, but I certainly don't want to be obnoxious as I do a fair amount of wooded trail riding. What are we really talking when we say "loud". Can anyone running this kit give me a good idea on how satisfied they are with it? Everything that can be bought on ebay can be sold on ebay; so, if it comes down to it, I'll dump the HSP setup and call Ritter. It sounds like they are the place to go for Polaris performance.
This is my first machine that I got into the sport with about 1-1/2 ago, so I'm looking forward to learning from the experience here.
Later.

I can tell you that HSP will give good performance BUT it is obnoxiously loud. It is the loudest pipe you can get. Most people that get the kit sell the kit. If you or others you ride with dont mind the noise then it will be ok. You also have to worry about places that you ride with the noise. I have been on this site long enough to know and I know from experience. You can put it on and if you dont like it you can sell it. Im sure you can sell it very easily.

My friend has the same kit for an 2003 trailblazer 250. I've rode it a couple of times and let me tell you, it is a wheelie king. It's got very good performance and takeoff. Although like 2manytoys said, it is a pretty loud pipe. He once pulled up to a horse trailer and gunned it and the horses started jumping around, lol. He also wins every mudd run he runs and wins against scramblers with just the kit on it, and also got HSP to sponsor him. It is a very good and reliable performance package, you won't be dissapointed, at least i know he isn't.

So lets put it into perspective. I ride in WI which has a 96db-A pipe noise limit on the trails. Will I get a larger ticket with the HSP pipe than I would with anything of equal performance? I'm not sure how strict the noise limit is enforced here (WI riders feel free to comment). I guess if I'll be riding one of the loudest pipes you can get, I'll know soon enough. I'll guess just have to ride and decide. Thanks everyone for the input.

Hey talk to Rick at RcR You can get his pipe and buy a stock 400 silencer fits right on there probly the quietest thing you can do. I have it and the power is great can bring the front right up. I had one of the silencers he sells on first but it was to loud so he told me to get the stock 400 one. There was no power loss with the 400 silencer if anything mid range is better with it and top end is the same.
