Default what spring in 700efi clutch

I just installed a clutch kit and the spring that came with it. I have the adjustable supertip weights and was wondering if anyone else out there has tried different setups with the springs. It current is engaging around 1700 rpm. By changing springs, can i get the engagement lower and still maintain everything else?

off topic but nice quad.

I don't have a 700 so I can't specifically anwser your question. first thing you need to do is find out what spring you sprtsman comes with and then the specific spring rate of that spring. there will be two numblers listed (ex: 41/140) the first number controls engagment rpm. adding ten pounds tends to increase engagement RPM 100-150rpm. ex. (51/140) the second number controls your motors top running rpm or shift out. a larger number again makes the rpm higher. I wouldn;t mess with the top number without speakking to other 700 owners If you go to large, you may get a top speed increase but acceleration will suffer.

If you want the stock engagement but strong mid to top end then try the EPI pink primary. This spring pulls hard but you can still crawl over rocks.
