Default Best Perf. Upgrades for 96 SP500?????

Hey guys, Im new to the Polaris utility game. I have a 1996 Sportsman 500 and Im lookin for more power. Right now I have a K&N filter, Full SuperTrapp exhaust, 26" MUDLITES and ITP type 5 wheels. Next week I will be dropping it off at Polaris to have the HO cam put in it and the carb jetted. What else can I do? I need MORE POWER!!

I have been looking around, I like the clutch kits I see on hotseat's website, is it a good one? is there a better one? how do I know which one to get? One of the guys at Polaris told me that they work like a stall converter on a car, you have to rev it up higher before it moves, Is this true?

For your Sportsman I would go with a Heel Klicker clutch kit. They are made more for the Ute side of ATVs.Like with the bigger tires.

Im not gonna be doing any "utility work" with it, all trail riding and I really like riding wheelies, I want to get the best for that. Should I still go with the heel klicker?

The Heel Klicker is still your best bet.Call them and tell them what you are wanting and what tires you have and they will get you a clutch kit that will work.
