Yea I remember someone telling me the 500 scrambler fires 3 times each stroke for both strokes, so it would fire 6 times for 1 rotation, does that make sense?

I got my 6 pulse hooked up, and it engages at around 2500, and tops out around 6500, so its got to be right!

Thanks BBS, I was just curious. I've tried to get the same pulse info for my raptor but its been to no avail. I thought perhaps there was some sort of source for that kind of stuff, I guess its just on a bike by bike basis.

I dont think it has anything to do with how many times the ignition fires it has to do with the pulses of the lighting coil thats where the yellow and yellow/red wires come from we used to race a Mercury snowmobile and it took a 12 pulse tach and I know it didnt fire 12 times per cycle I think its just one of the mysterys of life
