Can you add reverse to a 04 Pred?

Default Can you add reverse to a 04 Pred?
I want to buy a Pred, but would like the reverse gear, dont want to sheel out for an 05, can it be done?

My dealer told me that it can be done, but it is expensive! I think they said you would have to buy a new engine and transmission, not really sure what they said, just that it would be cheaper to buy the 05.
