I agree with the Trailblazer. Both my wife and daughter ride them and love them...easy to ride. My wife and daughter are both petite and aren't physically very strong and they love how easy they steer, have soft ride, and ample power. She rode the Trailboss and liked the easier steering and better power of the Trailblazer.

 

Bought my wife the Phoenix she loves it easy to ride and can take a beating.....good luck

 

Ya know, it really bugs me when people talk about 2-strokes being unreliable or always needing top end jobs. Sure, if it's modded heavy or you race it, it'll need rebuilds. I sold my '93 250 Trailboss two years ago and it still ran like new. Motor was never touched. My '98 Xplorer has never been touched. And believe it or not, when I'm done mowing the lawn on my 1969 Ariens 4-stroke rider, I still trim around the trees with a 1970 2-stroke Lawn Boy. Guess what?? The motor's never been touched! And my father used it to cut his entire lawn for over 25 years! Take reasonable care of them and use good oil and a 2-stroke will last. And as BryceGTX said, you won't notice any smell as the 250 uses about a thimble of oil every tank of gas.

BTW, I suggest the 250 Trailblazer if you're wondering.

 

I just got done doing a top end job on my 02tb the bike had about 130 hrs on it (my scrammy has a
hour meter on it) It had polaris gold oil in it, both rings had .040 end gap in them the book said
.009 to .018, it was down to 90psi compression and was starting hard & not starting at all after warmed up!!! just thought he should know that some of the 2strokes will need top end work sooner than the
4strokes, mine sure did!!!!

 

i would of wanted a TB off the bat, first of all it can be modded like so many of u posted, second of all It looks more inviting to ride then the Trail Boss 330, and third of all it is very light and does wheelie if u want it to[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]But i have had my scrambler for almost 2 years and the beginning of this year was when it started to feel slow, i want a pred, but my dad thinks i would die, and he thinks if i clutch my scrambler i'll die and its a difficult situation. Man what i would do for a clutch kit right now

The Polaris Trailblazer is a fine machine, but I much like some others on here, would go for a 500 scrambler for verious reasons instead.

I and my buddy bought our wives each a 250 trailblazer; they were both happy with them, until they hopped on our scramblers. (BryceGTX you better not letter her ride a scrambler if you don't want to buy one). Once you ride a Scrambler you realize how anemic the 250 trailblazer is (YES I KNOW YOU CAN PUT MODS ON IT BUT THAT WILL EQUAL A STOCK 400/500 at best), then she won't enjoy riding it because it will be too loud. (I TRIED IT)

I don't know if you plan to buy used or new. But I would not buy a new Trailblazer for the simple fact that the used Market is flooded with them because many people buy them, VERY QUICKLY OUTGROW THEM, and loose there a$$ on resale. Look at the used market, there are tons of them.

The one advantage to a 2003 or newer Trailblazer is that they all have Long Travel suspension. My feelings are this makes a huge difference. Any scrambler past 2000 will have the long travel suspension. Nice cushy ride.
If buying a used machine I would look for a 2001 or newer Scrambler or a 2003 or newer Trailblazer.

LOL BubaHyde... We are not performance riders, so we are quite happy with our Trailblazers. We will never mod our TBs, will just buy something different. However, I don't see our next quad on the market. As far as the wife; funny thing is, now she wants to replace her 640 pound 130hp sled with 450 pound 65 hp sled. LOL, go figure!!

I found the perfect fit for my wife. I don't know how to get it from MN to OR though. Got a few shipping quotes, but with fuel prices going up it will not economically make sense.

sounds like a potential nightmare to me. what happens when all those fancy mods start braking and you need specialized aftermarket parts and a talented tech to tune it all back 'just right'?
