Skid,

To be totally honest I do not remember exactly how my Xplorer rode before the clutch kit. All I do know is that I wanted more "ooumph" at the time. I had it installed two years ago. I remember getting on it and feeling much, much better acceleration and backshifting. I do not think it engages much higher than stock because I can crawl like I used to over/through anything. It just "feels" much stronger. It seems to engage relatively the same but after that it just powers up a heck of a lot more.

I thought that I would loose some top speed but the dealer tested it last year and was amazed to hit 65mph.

I am not sure of the spring color as I am not the one that did the work back then. I didn't even know how to clean the air filter back then...

I wish I knew someone with a stock Xplorer to test it with...

Brian

According to my Polaris manual, there is very LITTLE differance [you would not feel it] between the white and green spring.Compressed spring length on white is 1.19,the green spring is very close to the same.Full upshift on the white spring is around 140lbs,the green spring is around 142lbs.These springs are so simaler, that im not even certain why they make BOTH of them.==Bill

How different is the WHITE spring from the stock spring? Or is the WHITE spring the stock spring?

Thanks,
Lorrin
