I have a 05 SP700 EFI with about 250 miles on it. When I go down hill in high it sounds like the belt begins to squeal when it is idling, I give it a little gas and it stops. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it something I need to take back and have adjusted? It is still under warranty and want it fixed if it is fixable. Any help would be appreciated.

 

We have a 800 & 700 and they both do it. Must be normal.

 

Mine does the same thing so it must be normal.

 

Thats the EBS working. It is not the belt.

It sounds like your belt deflection is too tight or your alignment is off. DOes it only do it downhill? The tigher your belt the better the bottomend will be though so there is a very fine line there.

 

I had the same problem while riding in TN this past week.
