Will a 2002 Sportsman 700 Carb bolt on and work on a 1997 Sportsman 500?

Default Polaris 700 Carb Question

SP, I think you mis-read his post. It will bolt on, but there may be differences in the choke cable connection. You should be able to swap fittings with your old carb it they're different. Bear in mind it will be jetted rich for your 500. However, your jets (pilot, needle jet, jet needle and main jet) should work in this carb.
