Well I just got back from ,get this, a 90 mile trip on my 2005 scrambler 500ho.
We went deep into the forest in Prescott Arizona last saturday.
I went with 2 sportsman 500, both 05's and one 05 King quad 700efi.
All I can say was man I could not believe I got that good of fuel milage. We ran hills, rocks, trees and cruised at 20-30mph for a 24 miles on a windy dirt road.
All the other bikes got the same miles on there odo. so I know I'm not full of it.
Both sportsman used the whole tank and the king quad, well it only took < two gallons.
My quad ran great at 6000-7900 ft elevation.
All stock except, raising the clip 1 notch and a HPD steering stabilizer.

The only thing is my HPD stabilizer would not stay in the position I left it. I always keep it on 5 but even after 10 min of riding it always goes to the hardest setting (most turned in) I think I'm going to call and find out What the heck is going on.

for that many miles i useally do 2 tanks.....but i useally have the gas pinned down all of the time or if trail riding its little gas then pinned down for a never ending process.

 

man I'm jealous that sounds like a great trip
