hehe this is an insider news, dodge is ending their contract with cummins and is going with a mercedes-benz diesel now, maybe something to look forward to for some people, but i like cummins diesels better, good engine and dont hardly break down ever.

I never liked Chevys since about '78. The new ones are so little. Plus GM is very optomistic with their HP ratings. Also the fit & finish on GM autos is terrible. The Korean cars are better even. I'd say overall the Ford is the best truck, Chevy has the best tranny & nothing compares to a Cummins. Any truck is nice really actually. I wouldn't say any are junk. . As far as 1/2 tons anyone check out the Titan? That is a nice truck & a Hemi eater (my brothers Hemi never impressed me) In fact I wrote Dodge an email telling them what a disappoint it was after all their hype. The Titan seems like Nissan did their homework & the rumor is IH is building a 6 cyl Powerstroke for it. That would be great. A 1/2 ton diesel. If Nissan ever makes a 3/4 diesel I'd seriously have to consider one. And with Toyota building their new factory in Texas to make a real fullsize truck it won't be long before American trucks are 2nd class like American cars are.
BTW, I still own a 1969 IN 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. Still the toughest trucks ever made in the "bluecollar" sense.

Haha Well i really don't care what kinda truck you got as long as YOU like it. I prefer to stay North American. My family has owned all fords chevs and dodge pickups... and as far as a titan being a hemi eater... I can TRUTHFULY say that is a load. I dragged a Titan that had a cold air, full exhaust, new ECU, new rear end, and headers on it and my ram made it look like it was still. Still the best truck to come outta japan . Just my opinion. You gotta like what you have right? Well in most cases haha

Oh yeah... and about the hemi gettin 8MPG comment.. when the truck was stock, even with me, an 18yr old guy driving it HARD I got an average of 16-18 MPG on a tank of gas. Now it's about 13 but it about 500 HP, so that is understandable haha
