i work in a parts store and build performance and racing engines for almost everything, street cars and trucks, pulling trucks, drag cars, imca dirt track cars, figure 8, and sprint. and believe me when i tell you chevy is the way, all of them have their problems but chevy did not change parts mid year like ford, and can actually get parts for unlike dodge. i dont want to burst anyones bubble but that is the truth.

When it comes to PARTS chevies ARE the way to go. The only had a handfull of V8 blocks unlike Ford and Dodge that had a bunch of different engines over the years and the Chevy parts are cheap.

Chevy always has been great about keeping different things the same over the years, I can find similarities between my 1985 K5 blazer and my dad's 1998 Suburban. Ford and especially Dodge always were changing things around.

But...thats all just a parts things and mainly for older vehicles....

bought brand new, still have today. been used for business for towing tractors and in Winter for heavy, abusive snowplowing......

'93 GMC 2500 reg cab 8' bed, 350 V-8.

140K, 12 years old, and STILL runs like new! only regular maintenance has been needed. now THAT'S a truck!

i'm very impressed to say the least.

the only problems we've had is with the Myer snowplow. now those are JUNK. should have bought a Fisher.

with the excellent reliability the GMC has had, it would be very difficult to buy anything else. i'm not the type to chase every pretty skirt i see out there. i'll take the honest one with excellent pedegre.

Dodge all the way. Was always into Chev and my dad has always owned one. Finially I went in with my dad and WE bought a 05 Ram. LOVE it so much. Gots TONS of power and gets loads of looks haha. Got some pics of it. Talk about a first vehicle eh? haha. I'm paying a lot workin a part time job tho to pay for that and my quad. It's worth it.
