the 500 scrambler is everything the wolverine wants to be but far from it.the 500 will out perform it in every way and will also hold up to just as much abuse..

buddy has wolvy, I have scrambler, no comparison in all areas except ground clearance; the wolvy does have a few inches more in ground clearance. 99% of the time it doesn't matter though. My scrambler blows his wolverine away. We literally never even really try to compare them.

See sig, I currently own both and the Polaris is heads above the Wolverine, this is also the second Wolverine I have owned so it doesnt matter as most models are essentially the same. The Wolverine is a good unit but not as good as the Sacambler.

Maybe he's referring to the new Wolverine 450? (I don't think so b/c of the '02 Wolvy in his sig.)

The new '06 Wolverine is a big improvement over the old one IMO. I don't think too many people can compare the new one to anything just yet because not too many people have the '06, nor have they seen it on the trails. They finally gave the Wolverine more power, selectable 2/4wd, adjustable suspension and an automatic trans. On paper, some things I like about it better than the Scrammy are its lighter weight, adjustable suspension (Scrammy only has rear adj.) and shaft drive (a big plus if you're always in the mud). As far as the new looks...you either like em or you don't.

If you're talking about the old Wolvy 350, then IMO it doesn't compare to the Scrambler (in terms of performance). Scrambler all the way! Some Wolvy owners might chime in and say they like their Wolverine and they would never take a Scrambler. (It's been done a thousand times.) That's fine. They are a good, reliable and simple quad, but on the trails there is no argument, the Scrambler has the edge IMO.

With all that being said, the Scrambler still needs to be updated! Polaris could dominate if they update the Scrammy!

to be honest i dont think the new wolvie will be all that fast, and thats comin from a yamaha guy... the fact its just a kodiak motor in a lighter chassis makes it less impressionable...
