Upgrading 2005 Sportsman 400 to EBS
#1
I have a 2005 Sportsman 400 with less than 50 miles on it, and have determined that I need EBS to more safely and easily handle those downhill trail sections. Does anyone know what's involved in making that conversion, and how much I should expect to pay a dealer to make the change? Is it something that I should attempt on my own (I've modified Jeeps, etc.)? Any other insight, suggestions, etc. from experience you may have would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have to replace the front clutch for sure and possibly the rear clutch. Also the belt, and belt cover.
You can do it yourself but you will need a puller to remove the front clutch.
It can be done in about 30 minutes.

'cornbread'.......It took me a half hour just to get the foot platform off the first time I dove into my CVT. BUT you definately get quicker with practice. I just switched out my clutch weights in about 35 minutes yesterday. Suprized myself.

LOL......yeh if you're a proffesional mechanic, have exactly the right tools, know exactly what you're doing and have done it 17 times previously!!! LOL
