Default Sportsman 500 Fuel flooding in to air filter

Hey all...this '99 quad started filling the air filter and surrounding box with fuel and it won't start. The overflow tube out the bottom of the carb is also spitting out fuel. This happened all of a sudden...something stuck in the carburetor? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

sounds like the float needle valve is stuck open. Before you do anything else in the way of trying to start it make sure the gas didn`t get into the base and dilute your oil. Put a block of wood up againsed the side of the float bowl and give a few LIGHT taps with a hammer. This sometimes clears it. Try this a few times until it is free. Could be a small piece of dirt in your fuel line.

Thank you...we'll be checking it out and I think that must be what's happening.
