I removed the two bolts inside the pull start hud the lower one on the back side of the starter, but I can't get to the upper one. Does the clutch cover and clutch or trans have tp be removed to get to the other bolt. Any help would be great, wife's bike and she is getting mad. eant's to ride, thanks Louis

the easyest way is to remove the clutch cover, both clutches and the back cover, but you need a clutch puller to get the primary clutch off. before i changed my motor mounts and realised how easy it would be to do it that way i pulled the clutch cover, remove the secondary clutch, take the three bolts holding the back clutch cover on out, take the bolt that goes thru the back clutch cover and into a tab on the frame out, then you can pull the back clutch cover out rotate it a couple inches and rest it on the input shaft that you took the secondary clutch off of. some people can do it without messin with the clutch housing at all. i don't know how but i've heard it can be done.

All you need is an offset 10mm wench.

You don't have to pull the cover if you have the right tools.
